Register Your Interest

Intending entrants are requested to register their interest in submitting a work. This will
enable the Award organisers to arrange research opportunities and forest visits.

Entry Requirements

Each entry must be:

  • Either an unpublished manuscript or published book
  • Submitted as 1 hardcopy and 1 digital copy (i.e. in Word or PDF format on CD) if previously unpublished, and as 4 book copies if already published
  • Accompanied by a 2-page A4 synopsis and biography

Entries should be sent to the organisers no later than 31st March 2009, at:

Winner's Announcement & Ceremony

The winner is expected to be announced at the Edinburgh International Book Festival in August 2009. The winner should be prepared to give a short reading from his/her work and to attend a literary event/award dinner in Cowal during Cowalfest in early October 2009.
